Lori Jenkins, Attorney at Law
I was born and raised in Michigan. I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in accounting. My first job, beginning when I was a senior in high school, and continuing while earning my undergraduate degree, was as an endodontic (root canal) assistant. That experience taught me how to best care for people in stressful situations, which I draw on for my clients today.
I graduated from Willamette Law school with my J.D degree in 1985; my first employment post-law school was as a tax attorney with a multinational accounting firm. I started my own family law practice in 1993, focusing on families and children. I have been doing adoptions, since 1995, and have done literally thousands.
I am the mother of two adult daughters, so I know what it means to be a parent, and what it means to be a good parent. When I am out of the office I enjoy reading (preferably historical fiction and novels that give insight into other cultures), cycling (preferably flat), hanging with my dogs, yoga, and a good game of canasta.
